Peace On That

I felt my first earthquake since my return to southern California. My girlfriend didn’t feel it – said it wasn’t much of an earthquake anyway. Well, I saw the chandelier move and it felt like I was a boat. It only lasted ten seconds but that was enough for me. Not that I was scared, it was a feeling of seeing a rollercoaster for the first time. I’m in awe with some butterflies in the stomach but I know I’m going to ride it anyway. Well, Mother Nature it at it again across the country. I’ll just have to remind myself of my own post I wrote just a week ago. I guess I’ll be thankful for just having solid ground under my feet. I use the word “solid” – loosely.
